2005 Nationals Date & Plan

Tentative Labor Day 2005 Weekend Planned

The 2004 Nationals were held at VIR.  With luck, 2005 will be even better.

DEC 23, 2004

Following the Nov 20 meeting of Challenge Series coordinators here at Factory Five, tentative plans are moving forward to host the 2005 FFR Challenge Series National finals and FFR Owner’s Group Meet at Virginia International Raceway over Labor Day Weekend.

If the plan holds, this will be the second year in a row that the FFR Nationals will be at VIR and on the East Coast (the Nationals was on the West Coast for the first two events).  The track management at VIR has made some serious support commitments and the event promises to be even bigger and better than the 2004 event.

As more details develop we will keep you up to date.  Also we are working with Chuck Robertson to determine if the West Coast “Great Western Round-up” will again be held this fall around the time of the SEMA show.

In 2004 there were over 100 FFR’s in the car show (left), 27 racers in the National finals (center), and good times for everyone!

Lastly, we are making an effort to put in place our 2005 event plans with more lead time and to commit more money to the efforts.  We are hopeful that 2005 will bring the best events, planning and the most fun as we celebrate our upcoming 10 year anniversary.

All of us at Factory Five wish you a Peaceful, holy and Merry Christmas with hopes for the best New Year!
